We are currently keeping apprised of the Measles outbreaks elsewhere in our country. At the present time while there is not an outbreak in Pennsylvania, we strongly recommend making sure your children's measles vaccines are up to date.
Children 6-12 mos can receive an early dose of the MMR vaccine that will not count towards the 2 doses needed for school - presently this is indicated for international travel and may be recommended if a local outbreak develops.

We are now on the 3rd season of the RSV passive immunization called Beyfortus (nirsevimab). Beyfortus is a monoclonal antibody with activity against RSV. Monoclonal antibodies are laboratory-made proteins that mimic the immune system’s ability to fight off harmful pathogens such as viruses. One dose of Beyfortus, administered as a single intramuscular injection prior to or during RSV season, may provide protection during the RSV season.
This vaccine is available in 2 dosages for babies up to 8 most old - 1 dose for babies <11lb, a 2nd dose for babies >11lb.
